Cooper Union in Sint Maarten: The Cooper Union men’s basketball team was in Sint Maarten from Wednesday, November 2nd to Sunday, November 6th. The team was on this island in the Caribbean to play and support local teams as well as to hold a basketball clinic for underprivileged kids near Philipsburg, all the while serving as representatives of our institution. The players left for the airport on Wednesday before the sun rose and touched down in time for the meet-and-greet between the Hawks and the three island basketball teams that they would play during their stay. Cape Cod was a success!
For many years, The scholar-athletes at cooper union have been spending the last week of summer training up at Cape Cod. The academic, social, educational, and athletic relationships are all established and strengthened during this stay. Each team is represented by a group that is ready to take over the team. Everybody we’ve talked to likes the idea of us having this party. It’ll be a party that combines the ski trip parties, the february celebrations and the scholar athlete nights of presentations. We’re going to honor and celebrate four of the most outstanding people that ever attended Cooper Union. As time goes along, we’ll include bios of each of these humble recipients. The level of entertainment that will be performed that evening is spectacular. All of these former students have enjoyed performing in front of these demanding Cooper Union crowds. We’re sure you’ll enjoy this as much as they do. We’ll also be honoring a couple of current scholar... Read On

At the Cooper Union, we have: Varsity Soccer, Varsity Basketball, Varsity Tennis, Varsity Volleyball, and Cross Country teams for women and men. All of these sports were initiated by student interest. We have tryouts for each of the sports early in the semester. We encourage people who not only like the sport but those who are willing to learn as well. We have a great process and philosophy of teaching and helping all our players to get better. If you’re interested, don’t underestimate your abilities... Read On
